Mawdsley Lake Fishing Lodge – Catch Limit
Mawdsley
Lake Fishing Lodge Inc. strives to maintain the best sport fishing possible
in one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Our northern Saskatchewan
Lodge has encouraged a catch and release policy for the last ten years.
In 2002,
we began a regulated Catch and Release Type 2-CR2 policy.
Angling
Daily Limits and Possession under "Catch and Release Type 2 - CR2"
- Lake
Trout, 2, none may exceed 65 cm (25 5/8 inches)
- Northern
Pike, 3, none may exceed 75 cm (29 1/2 inches)
- Arctic
Grayling, 1, which can not exceed 35 cm
Having
a tape measure in your tackle box is essential if you plan on keeping
any fish.
Fishermen
who wish to take fish home can store their catch in a freezer at the
Lodge. A fish cleaning station is available. Fishermen must clean, bag
and freeze their own fish.
Note:
Fish shown in photos, caught in 2002 and after, were returned live to
the water. Most of the fish caught and photographed prior to 2002 were
also returned live to be caught another time! "Catch and Release"
regulations mandate the use of barbless hooks.
